Our expertise gives us the confidence to offer you the complete fireplace and stove experience. We can advise you on creating your own fireplace, right through to designing, constructing and commissioning bespoke centre pieces.
We offer new and vintage materials such as slate, reclaimed brick, granite, limestone, oak and marble with a wide range of antique and reproduction products to compliment our wood burning stoves from Charnwood, Clearview, Contura, Morso, Aga, Stovax and Rais. In some cases the bulk of your new fireplace is already there, renovating and re-using your original fireplace surround, tiles or brickwork can make for a spectacular custom made fireplace that blends into its original surroundings. Our installations shown above included all associated building, chimney, scaffolding, plumbing, electrical works and all making good except decorating.
Fireplace Installation Overview
In older properties (pre 1940) you can usually guarantee that when an existing fireplace is removed, a brick chamber will be revealed in varying sizes and conditions. This chamber is known as the builder’s hole and was constructed at the initial building stage to later accommodate the chosen open fireplace.
Most stoves are designed to fit in to a traditional builder’s hole. Simply adding a hearth and re-pointing or rendering maybe all that is needed to create a new fireplace. Where the original brick chamber is in an unsuitable condition, we add reclaimed brick slips to give the desired effect. In modern houses the builder’s hole is usually a pile of rubble, in these cases we would have to undertake additional building works.
We believe stoves can be incorporated in to all interior designs. Contemporary, traditional, cast iron, steel, enamelled or coloured.
