Fireplace Chambers and Builders Openings for Wood Stoves
Scarlett fireplaces supply, build and renovate fireplace chambers which are the part of a fireplace where the fire or wood burning stove sits. Fireplace chambers can be constructed from new or renovated and finished in reclaimed brick, plain boarded (ready to paint), tiles and stone.
Many older properties already have a brick fireplace chamber called the builders opening or builders hole hidden behind the old fireplace. These builders holes were usually built not to be seen and because of this were the perfect training ground for the bricklayers apprentice who practised his brickwork skills with brick arches to support the chimney above.
